Monthly Events

Business Before Hours - Third Tuesday of each month 7:30 a.m.–8:30 a.m.
Join the Tempe Chamber for a morning of fabulous food and networking. Attendees share brochures and business cards and give a 30-second commercial about their business. This is a wonderful way to start the day and meet with fellow business people. A light breakfast and coffee or juice are provided.

Business After Hours - Fourth Wednesday of each month 5:30 p.m.–7:30 p.m.
This informal networking event allows business people to showcase their companies, meet with other members of the business community and network in a casual atmosphere. Drinks and food are provided.

Hot Topics - Third Thursday of each month except May 11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
The Hot Topics and Lunch series provides a monthly forum for speakers and presenters to address important issues relating to business and the community. Each month features a different topic and speaker ranging from sustainability, real estate, global business, and much more.

Networking at Noon - Second Thursday of each month 11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
Often called “speed dating for business”, this fast-paced, unique networking event serves to teach the art of relationship building. Attendees enjoy a complimentary lunch and have fun promoting their company while learning techniques to improve their business and increase their level of profit.

Special Events

Breakfast for Chamber Champions – February
At this, our premier awards event, we present the Business Excellence Award, the Volunteer of the Year Award, the Spirit of Tempe Award and Tempe Leadership’s Outstanding Community Leadership Award. An attendance of more than 300 political, civic and community leaders makes this a visible and well-respected event.

Tuscany in the Desert – February
A unique and fun event that features elegant and delicious Italian dining, a dessert room, music and dancing, silent auctions, boat rides and more.

Tempe Links Classic – April
Now entering its 16th year, this annual golf tournament held at ASU’s Karsten Golf Course draws a fantastic crowd of 150 people from within the top tier of the Valley’s business community. The day revolves around a full 18 holes of golf, a boxed lunch, dinner, raffle, auction and award ceremony.

Women in Business Conference and Trade Show – May
This event brings participants together to celebrate success and learn from powerful speakers, enjoy a superb awards luncheon and share interactive trade show exhibits like massage therapy and day spas. The day culminates with the presentation of the Business Woman of the Year Award.  Last year’s speakers were Jay Parry, President/COO of the Phoenix Mercury, Mary Jo West, Arizona’s First Lady of TV News who will speak on “Living On Less Loving It More,” and Kay McDonald, Founder of Charity Charms which has raised more than $900,000 for charitable organizations.

Annual Luncheon – June
This event announces the incoming Chamber board and Committee Chairs while celebrating the Chamber’s successes and presenting the vision for the upcoming year.  The event features a delicious lunch, dynamic speakers and presenters, exhibits and more.

Sun Devil Football Kickoff Luncheon – August
Each year members of the business community join the ASU head football coach, his staff and the football team at the Kickoff Luncheon, attended by 750 fans. Guest appearances by the ASU cheerleaders, Sparky and the Pep Band add excitement to an already fun-packed day.

State of the Schools Address – September
Each year this event provides an opportunity for the Tempe business community to meet with a panel of district administrators to learn the condition of Tempe’s educational institutions and determine how businesses can assist the districts in achieving their goals and strengthening Tempe’s educational facilities. The 2009 panel features the three district superintendents, and representatives from Arizona State University, the Maricopa County Community Colleges and the Arizona charter schools system.

East Valley Business Expo – October
This is the largest business-to-business expo in the East Valley. It is a partnership between the Chandler, Mesa, Gilbert and Tempe Chambers and generates 1,500 attendees networking with the more than 150 registered exhibitors.

FestDevil Homecoming Bash – October
This is an elegant celebration to bring together ASU and the business community. Join Arizona’s top business leaders for an evening of cocktails, a silent auction, dinner and dancing at the black tie optional affair. Dr. Michael Crow is the Honorary Chair and always delivers a compelling address.

State of the City Address – November
The Tempe Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the City of Tempe, presents the Tempe Mayor’s State of the City Address, which highlights his vision for the community’s future. A highlight of the political year, the event is attended by 400 members of the community.

Business Resource Advantage - Third Wednesday of each month at 8:00 a.m.  

Business Owners Forum - - Fourth Thursday of each month at 7:30 a.m.

Board of Directors - Fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:30 a.m.

Executive Committee - Second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 a.m.

Government Relations & Transportation - First Wednesday of each month at 7:30 a.m.

Military Affairs - Third Wednesday of each month at 7:30 a.m.

Tempe Leadership Board of Directors - Third Thursday of each month at 7:30 a.m.

Women in Business Council - First Thursday of each month at 8:00 a.m.

Seasonal committee meetings
 are held for special events including the Tempe Links Classic and Business Excellence Awards.
